This course explores the principles and techniques of repurposing metadata. Roke reviews a number of use cases from migrating legacy metadata to reusing metadata in new projects and consortial systems. You'll learn the nuts and bolts of crosswalking through interactive discussion and hands-on activities. Youll also discuss challenges and opportunities for metadata reuse in local use cases from course participants as well as consider implications for the shared landscape of consortiums and linked open data. Please bring local examples from your institution; there will be time to work through these.
